Perhaps the biggest takeaway? There is nothing chic than modernity and individuality.

As the final hours of 2022 tick down, I decided long ago that I would stay in tonight and continue my tradition of starting the year well rested. After years of working a corporate job and running my styling business also as a mostly full time endeavour, 2022 was the first year spent entirely betting on myself. And, while it was invigorating, most of the year was sprinting from one project to the next, with very little down time. From a young age, I watched her keep my father in check as he was really the ultimate entrepreneur. I mean, the man came home one day with the deed to a mountain! He would see an opportunity and would capitalize. I loved the way he had (and still has) vision to see beyond the factors that might make someone else say, “I’ll pass on that one”. No fear.
